Hillsboro senior gets national scholarship

Hillsboro High School senior Callyan Lacio, a member of FFA, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Hillsboro Ford and Ford Motor Company.

Lacio will use the scholarship to attend Friends University, where she plans to study biological sciences and become a zoologist.

Scholarship recipients were selected based on leadership, academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural or work experience in agricultural education, and future goals.
