Hillsboro student competes in piano festival

Claire Heyen, a junior at Hillsboro High School, competed at the Kansas State High School Activities Association state piano festival Saturday at Wichita State University.

She received a I rating for her performance of Humoreske by Rachmaninoff. I is the highest rating given.

She is the daughter of Bruce and Janell Heyen
