Hillsboro tennis finishes 4th

Hillsboro placed fourth as a team Thursday during its annual tournament in which some matches were shortened by rain.
Emma Bartel placed third in singles after defeating Circle’s Maddie Engels. Trojan doubles partners Ruthie Paulus and Abi Suderman placed fourth after losing to a duo from
Chapman.
Abby Beavers and Brooklyn Thiessen placed fifth in doubles.
“It was great to have the majority of our team playing on the winning-side of the bracket and competing at a high level,” coach Kyla Isaac said.
Hillsboro will play host when multiple league opponents visit town at 9 a.m. Saturday to conclude the regular season.
