Hillsboro to host state 4-H dog show
4-H members from around the state will be at the Marion County Fairgrounds on Saturday to demonstrate their dog training and showmanship skills. The Marion County 4-H dog group is hosting the first fall invitational. The show will begin at 9 a.m. with showmanship classes. Obedience and agility classes also will be held.
There is no admission and the public is welcome to attend to observe teams compete for prizes. Teams earning purple ribbons will be qualified for the 2009 Kansas State Fair.
A concession stand will be on the grounds sponsored by Marion County iLEAD, a group of older 4-H livestock project members focusing on leadership development.
