Hillsboro Middle School competed March 31 at MCAA league vocal contest. The seventh and eighth grade choirs each earned three II, or “excellent” ratings.

Smaller ensembles also performed well, vocal director Lynn Just said. Seventh grade girls ensembles I and II earned an “outstanding” I rating, the best available.

Seventh grade boys’ ensemble I also earned an outstanding rating. Seventh grade boys’ ensemble II earned an excellent rating.

Eighth grade girls’ ensembles I, II, and III and boys’ ensemble all earned outstanding ratings.

Individually Danae Bina, Scott Brazil, Tyler Burst, Cody Delk, Maddie Duerksen, Jacob Humber, Erika Just, Kurtis Klein, Courtney Troyer, Josh Weibe, Molly Weibe, and Erin Wiebe earned outstanding marks.

Katie Claassen, Mitchell Dey, and Kateland Litchfield earned excellent individual ratings.
