Holada places 2nd at state

Goessel’s Michal Holada placed second and the Bluebirds as a team finished fourth in Monday’s 1A state golf tournament at Goodland.

Holada’s score of 80 was five strokes behind the winner from Immaculata High of Leavenworth.

Seniors Rhett Makovec and Miguel Guerrero finished their high school careers by shooting 106 and 131 respectively.

Braden Roby had a score of 99, freshman Dylan Lindeman came in at 104, and Carson Sterk rounded out the scoring with 125.
