There is a powerful truth revealed in scripture that is a two-sided coin. On one side is safety and comfort. However, on the other we encounter intimidation and shame. Here’s the truth:
“… there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” (Hebrews 4:13).
David wrote, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and My Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14.)
A person who is in a right relationship with Almighty God finds comfort in knowing that God sees them as they are, no matter where they are. But the person who is not in a right standing with God finds conviction when faced with this truth. So they try to bury the resulting guilt and shame.
How does knowing that God sees you make you Feel? Be encouraged by the fact that He sees you, because it means He’s looking for you. You look for someone who’s lost because you want to find them. You’re that important to God.
