An eight-team youth baseball tournament will be in Hillsboro July 15 through 19, but host families are needed for players.

A Cal Ripken 12-and-younger tournament will be similar to a Babe Ruth 14-and-younger tournament in 2008, Hillsboro Recreation Director Doug Sisk said.

Organizers are looking for 25 to 30 host families for players. Host families are responsible for housing and feeding players during the tournament and getting the players to the ballpark, Sisk said. A host family can house as many as three players. The city is required to find host families as part of the contract to have the tournament in Hillsboro, Sisk said.
