Hot times with hot rods

Hot rods, motorcycles, and hanging out with others who love them make a perfect outing for fans of things that move fast.

Hillsboro has a cruise night from 6 to 8 p.m. the second Saturday of each month.

Cars don’t have to be classic or antique. They can be flashy, customized, or simply driven down a street on a typical day. Any car will do. So will any motorcycle or four-wheeler.

For most cruises, music is provided by a local disc jockey.

Great Plains Federal Credit Union provides free pop or water to people who want something to drink while there.

Peabody also is host for a monthly cruise. The Peabody cruise is targeted for motorcycles and hot rods.

A morning event, it takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every fourth Sunday of the month.
