Betty MacNaughton

Betty Darlene MacNaughton, 88, passed away March 5, 2018, in Leawood, Kansas.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Marion Cemetery in Marion, Kansas.

Born March 21, 1929, to Joseph and Vesta McIntosh, she was the youngest of three children. She was born and raised in Canton, Kansas. She attended the University of Wichita, graduating summa cum laude with a major in zoology and chemistry. She also trained in medical technology at the University of Kansas and married her college sweetheart, Dr. Robert A. MacNaughton.

Betty was a homemaker and craftswoman. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting porcelain dolls and figurines, quilting, embroidery, and gardening.

Her husband, Robert, and brother, Bill McIntosh, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, Eugene McIntosh; her children, Dr. Robert MacNaughton II, Paula Wiley, and Julie MacNaughton; as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Betty was a cousin of Margie Schwartz of Marion.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Premier Custom Care caregivers, especially Deanna, Beverly, Fey, Teresa, and Melissa, who took excellent care of Mom.
