Deborah attended Marion grade and high schools and graduated in 1970.
After graduation, she moved to Olathe with her parents. Deborah worked for Puritan while in Olathe.
In 1972, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Navrat, and they moved to Anchorage, Alaska, while Ron served in the Air Force.

During her time off, Deborah enjoyed camping with her husband. Camping when a lake was frozen hard enough to drive a car across was a sight to see.
Camping also meant grilling steaks over an open fire and watching the Alaska sun setting at 11 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; brother Richard of Newton; sister-in-law Ardith; and nephews Chris of Shawnee Mission and Mike of Colorado.
