Gregory Stenzel

Gregory Edward Stenzel, 60, of Ramona passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at his home.

He was born Aug. 19, 1958 in Marion, Kansas, the son of Edward and Betty (Weber) Stenzel.

He graduated from Centre High School in 1976 and went on to Salina Vo Tech, where he studied auto mechanics. In his early years, he worked for Waddell Cadillac in Salina as an auto mechanic. Later on, he became a full-time farmer.

Many things Greg loved were McDonald’s hamburgers, sports, Harley Davidson, Coors beer, and John Wayne. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone, and he loved his daughter, Nicole, to which he always told her, “Love you kiddo,” and newborn grandson, Christian, whom he got to see before he was called home.

Greg is survived by his daughter, Nicole Stenzel of Manhattan; his grandson, Christian Guilford; and his mother, Betty Stenzel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Stenzel, and nephew, James Weber.

Greg’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service was held for Greg on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Hope.

Inurnment followed at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.

The family suggests memorials be given to his grandson for a college fund titled, Christian Guilford College Memorial Fund.
