Reburta R. Wenzl, 85, of Grand Island, Nebraska, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Island with the Reverend Sheri Lodel officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Apfel Funeral Home Chapel.

Reburta was born July 14, 1932, in Peabody, Kansas, the daughter of Walter Jake and Helen Pearl Sattler. She grew up in the Peabody, Kansas, area where she attended school, graduating high school in the class of 1950. She was united in marriage to Robert G. Wenzl on Feb. 20, 1965. They made their home in Grand Island and in their later years also lived in Gold Canyon, Arizona.

Reburta enjoyed their involvement and trips with Nebraska Motor Carriers, Beaver Motor Coach Club, and following the Nebraska Huskers. She was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church along with being a member of the Saddle Club, Eagles Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Platt Duetsche.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her children, Pam Farber and husband, Rick; Rebecca Manchester-Weber; Sherry Johnson and husband, Dan; Kathy Wortman; Bill Wenzl and wife, Tara; and Bob Wenzl and wife, Jan; brother Edward Sattler and wife, Glenna; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brother Corval Sattler, and son-in-law, Kenneth Weber.

Memorials are suggested to Calvary Lutheran Church. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.
