Sara Ann Pohlman

Sara Ann Pohlman, 78, retired music teacher, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 4, 1940, to Walter and Thelma (Reed) Philip in Iowa City, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Pohlman Jr.; sons, Jeff Pohlman and wife, Marlene, of Acworth, Georgia; Tim Pohlman and wife, Heidi, of Sedgwick, Kansas; Kip Pohlman and wife, Lana, of Augusta, Kansas; and Dusty Pohlman and wife, Jamie, of Whitinsville, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ron Philip and wife, Mary.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018; with visitation on Thursday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., both held at Peabody Christian Church. Interment was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, Kansas. Baker Funeral Home has charge.
