Isaac F. Thiessen, 95, Lehigh, died Aug. 20, 2008, at Hillsboro.

Born Oct. 18, 1912, at Inman, he was the son of Dietrich and Agnes (Friesen) Thiessen.

He was a farmer and custom cutter.

On June 9, 1935, he married Helen Warkentin at Springfield Church, rural Hillsboro. She died earlier this year.

He was a member of Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro.

Survivors include a son, Paul and Ella Mae Thiessen of Wichita; four daughters, Joyce and Gerald Kessler and Arlene Schale, all of Hillsboro, Carol and Ken Geabhart of Newton, and Karen and Bryce York of Prairie Village; brother, Menno Thiessen of Inman; sister, Barbara Wohlgemuth Franz of Wichita; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial was in Springfield Cemetery.

Memorial funds have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Parkview MB Church.
