Jacqueline Herzet

Jacqueline Margie (Balzer) Herzet passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

Jacque, one of four children, was born at home on a farm outside of Hillsboro on Aug. 10, 1936. She married Max Herzet on Dec. 11, 1953, and they were happily married for 59 years until the time of his death in 2013.

They had four children: Gregory (Sandy Pickering), Bradley (DeAne Thomson), Jeffrey (Marsha Wesbrook), and Beth Davis (Alan Davis). Max and Jacque had 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Jacque was a busy member of the Wichita community, where she volunteered in her children’s schools, Wichita Art Association, Wesley Hospital, Botanica, and United Methodist Open Door.

She was a member of College Hill United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.

A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st St. North in Wichita. Private inurnment will follow at Lakeview Mausoleum.

A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association Central and Western Kansas Chapter, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita KS 67214.
