James R. Stang, 49, of Marion, died April 24 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Canton.
He was born July 3, 1961, at Wichita, to Marvin R. and Mary-Jo (Faber) Stang.
He was a conductor with Union Pacific Railroad.
A son, Jeremiah, and sister Sandra preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Marvin and Mary-Jo Stang of Wichita; children Amanda Morris of Wichita, Joseph and Nathaniel of Newton, and Victoria, Cassandra, and Shepherd of Hillsboro; two brothers, Ron and Ernie, and three sisters, Donna Allison, Bette Luinstra, and Cathy Lemon of Wichita; and three granddaughters.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion.
Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
