Gladys E. Janzen, Hillsboro, will celebrate her 100th birthday Aug. 17.
Friends and family are invited to an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
Gladys has been a lifelong Marion County resident. She was born to Henry and Anna Leppke on the family farm in rural Marion.
She married Irvin R. Janzen Aug. 23, 1937. She worked in a restaurant, a dry cleaning business, and as a custodian for Hillsboro Methodist Church.
She has a son, Ralph Janzen of Hillsboro; two grandsons, Raymond Janzen and Corey Janzen; grandchildren, Ryan Janzen, Kelli Housman, Jared Janzen, and Jessica Janzen; and a great-great granddaughter, Rylee Housman.
