Jay McClure

Jay McClure, 71, longtime owner of the Dari-Ette, died Saturday at his residence in Hillsboro.

Born July 27, 1945, to John and Pearl (Hagadorn) McClure in Portis, he married Cathy Stacy on Dec. 31, 1971, in Newton.

She survives, as do son Rick McClure-Burgen of Wichita, daughter Karen Fryhover of Hillsboro, sister Linda Streit of Tipton, and two grandchildren

Services were Monday at the Hillsboro American Legion post. Committal will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gaylord Cemetery, Gaylord.

A memorial has been established with the Legion post.
