John Hurst

John B. Hurst, 82, of Hillsboro died Oct. 29 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro. He was born July 28, 1931, to Jacob and Sallie (Burkhart) Hurst in Bowmansville, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathryn Hurst.

He is survived by a son, Mike of Hillsboro; a daughter, Sheryl Duerksen of Perkasie, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

A celebration of life was Monday at the Hillsboro Scout House, officiated by pastor Wayne Shirk. Visitation was Sunday at Jost Funeral Home.

Memorial funds have been established with Hillsboro Senior Center and Parkside Homes.
