Kenneth Funk

Services for Kenneth A. Funk, 84, who died Jan. 5 at Via Christi — St. Teresa Hospital in Wichita, were to be this morning at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.

Burial was in the Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

Born Oct. 31, 1934, to Arthur and Katherine (Pankratz) Funk in Hillsboro, he married Bonnie Schafer on June 16, 1957, in Hillsboro.

She survives along with son Kent Funk of Hillsboro; daughter Cindy Friesen of St. John, brothers Norman Funk of Moundridge and Linferd Funk of rural Hillsboro, sister Edith Unruh of Hillsboro, and three grandchildren.

Brothers Jim and Nelson preceded him in death.

A memorials has been established at First Mennonite Church.
