Hillsboro junior Daniel Kunantaev took 20th place May 26 at the 3A state golf meet at Tallgrass Country Club, Wichita.

Kunantaev shot 86 and tied with Nathan McKenzie of Kansas City Christian and Colten Lamborn of Frontenac.

Kunantaev was Hillsboro’s only entrant at the meet. He was playing in his third state meet in three years.
