Lady Jays get first win

The Tabor College women’s soccer team got its first victory of the season Friday, defeating Mid-America Christian University 3-2 in Oklahoma City.

The men’s team fell to MACU 4-2 after having the lead twice during the game. The Bluejays dropped to 0-2 on the season.


The Bluejays travel tonight to Manhattan Christian College, then to Shawnee, Okla., to play St. Gregory’s University on Saturday.

The Bluejays football team, ranked 17th in the NAIA coaches’ preseason poll, will start its season at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lincoln, Neb., against Nebraska Wesleyan University.


Men’s and women’s cross-country teams begin the season Saturday at the JK Gold Classic in Augusta.


The Lady Jays open their conference season tonight at home against Southwestern, then travel to Springfield, Mo., for the Evangel Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
