Kansas law enforcement agencies will conduct seatbelt enforcement around elementary and middle schools Sept. 14 through Sept. 18 as part of Child Passenger Safety Week. Officers will issue citations to anyone who is not following Kansas “Buckle Up” laws, which includes having children buckled up or in properly-installed car seats.
In the past, all three Marion County departments have participated, but the only one to confirm they will be participating this year was Hillsboro. Peabody and Marion police said they have yet to receive information on this event.
