Lee Roy Leppke
Services for rural Hillsboro native Lee Roy Leppke, 88, who died June 13 in the town of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, were June 19. Burial was this week at Ebenfeld Cemetery.
Born Dec. 15, 1929, to Carl and Lizzie Litke Leppke, he attended Ebenfeld school until his family moved to New Mexico in 1945. He moved in 1970 to Rocky Mountain House, where he worked in construction and provided backhoe service.
Survivors include sister Lucille Leppke Klassen of Hillsboro; brother Kenneth Leppke of Albuquerque; children Gaylynn Smalley of Tucson, Ron Leppke of Tallahassee, Phillip Leppke of Guam, and Laurel Leppke of Clovis, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Brother Marvin Leppke preceded him in death.
