Lemonade benefits ALS research

Avery Branson, 7, was joined by Addison and Emerson Hardy, both 6, in selling homemade strawberry lemonade to raise money for ALS research and treatment Friday.

The lemonade had strawberries and sliced lemons added, served in pink cups with foam butterfly stickers. Donations went into a jar turned upside-down on the table.

“My friend Brooke’s father has ALS, so she wanted to do this,” said neighbor Olivia, who was watching over the kids both serving lemonade and playing in a small pool nearby.

This wasn’t Avery’s first lemonade stand. She has done several others, all raising money for ALS, over the summer.
