With great respect

To the editor:

I just subscribed to your paper. I’ll be patronizing any business that advertises in it to the extent I can and letting them know I saw their ad in your paper.

The press is under enough attack from market forces without having police flexing their ersatz authority to stifle the unique freedoms granted by the Constitution.

The collective you are the true American patriots at a time when that designation appears to have been adapted by the very forces conspiring against the ideals you represent.
