Linda Funk

Linda Funk, 97, died Nov. 19 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

Born June 3, 1912, in Hillsboro to Ferd and Susie (Doering) Janzen, she was married June 3, 1932, to Jacob A. Funk in Hillsboro.

Her husband; a daughter, Ruth Ann Thiessen; and a brother, Herman Janzen, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Nelson of Lincolnton, N.C., and Roger of Lake Zurick, Ill.; a sister, Violet Bartel of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday at the First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with the Rev. Keith Harder officiating. Burial was at Haven of Rest Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.

Memorial funds have been established with World Inpact and Door of Hope.
