In a scoreless third quarter, Goessel kept Little River out of the end zone, but it was far too easy for the Redskins to score in the first period.
The damage started when a Little River defensive back intercepted a pass and went 15 yards for a score. Little River scored four more touchdowns in the first period to take a 35-0 lead into the break. Early in the second period Little River scored again making the score 43-0. The game ended in the fourth period with a final score of 49-0.
Statistically, Little River dominated in several categories: 16-1 in first downs, 2 punts for Little River to 11 punts for Goessel, total yards 345 to -3.
On a windy night, Trey Schmidt did complete five passes but the longest was 8 yards. Defensively, Drake Sterk amassed 13 tackles, with Alex Schmidt earning 7, Bruce Benjamin 6, Zach Showalter 4.5 and Mark Schmidt 4.
The Bluebirds will be at St John Military on Friday. Goessel moves to 0-5 with the loss.
