Local schools lead Wheat State League in volleyball honors

Marion County high schools dominated the roster of the 2011 Wheat State all-league volleyball teams.

Centre, Goessel, and Peabody-Burns high schools combined to have 13 of the 24 all-league honorees, including six of the eight first-team selections.

Other schools in the Wheat State League are Elyria Christian, Hope, Little River, Solomon, Wakefield, and White City.

Goessel high school

Paige Booton, senior, first-team.

Aimee Flaming, senior, first-team.

Tia Goertzen, junior, first-team.

Peabody-Burns High School
