Lorene Holloway

Lorene Eleanor Holloway, 84, formerly of Lehigh, died Sept. 23 at McPherson Care Center.

Born May 25, 1925, to Herbert and Bertha Weyand, she was married Feb 16, 1946, to LeRoy Holloway, who preceded her in death.

She worked as an egg candler and a housekeeper for a local motel until her retirement in 1990.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Elmer Weyand; two stepbrothers, Marlin and Edwin Steinle; and a grandchild.

Survivors include a son, LeRoy Holloway, Jr. of McPherson; a daughter, Janis Kay Kelley of Garfield; twin sister, Lenora Martens of McPherson; a brother, Gerald Weyand of Norton; and a stepsister, Gloria Wolf of Wichita.

Services were Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in McPherson with the Rev. Dale Dumperth officiating. Interment followed at McPherson Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church and Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions may be sent in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 N Chestnut St, McPherson KS 67460.
