Lorraine Walker

Homemaker and farm wife Lorraine E. Walker, 87, died Friday at Parkside Home, Hillsboro.

She also worked as a school cook and nurse and at a manufacturing plant in Newton.

Born Dec. 16, 1921, in Marion, to Charles and Ida (Buethe) Creamer, she attended Florence schools and married Archie Walker on Feb. 11, 1942, in Marion, where she was a member of Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Hedrick, Loch Lloyd., Mo.; Brenda Kumie, McPherson; and Barbara Sauble, Ranches de Taos, N.M. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. The Rev. Vernon Bowers officiated. Burial was in Homestead Cemetery, Chase County.

Memorial funds have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Homestead Cemetery.
