Hillsboro United Methodist Church will extend hours of its next blood drive in an effort to increase turnout.

The last drive was June 25.

“It was a busy time of year, so our count was lower than usual,” Gladys Funk and Shirley Kasper said in a letter.

The next drive will be noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at Hillsboro City Building.

Funk and Kasper wrote that they were were thankful for those who donated blood or helped at the last drive.
