Man arrested after domestic disturbance

A 60-year-old Marion man was arrested Sunday morning after police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of N. Cedar St.
The disturbance was reported at 9:20 a.m. by a neighbor.
Frank D. Kanive, 60, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. He was released on his own recognizance five hours later.
Assistant Chief Steve Janzen found the victim, a 37-year-old man police described as Kanive’s roommate — not involved in a romantic relationship — with minor injuries.
Police returned for a civil standby at the same address that afternoon.
