Marion
Dylan Kraus was third individually with a time of 19 minutes 35.09 seconds.
Kraus’ time was the third-fastest time in program history, just a week after he set a school record.
Brooklyn Beery finished 13th, Allyson Vogel finished 17th, Jessica Methvin 18th, and Izy Branson finished 22nd.
“What a race by Brooklyn,” coach Jason Hett said. “She was determined today and it showed. This is the Brooklyn we need and was great to see her attack.”
On the boys’ side, Landon Levis came in seventh, and Zayden Janzen placed eighth.
“Levis is starting to understand how good he can be and is committed to getting better,” Hett said. “Janzen looked strong today and is starting to find his groove.”
Josh Smith placed 12th after setting a personal-record of 17:58.00.
To round out the boys’ placements was Hugh Guetterman in 20th, and Kael Dameron in 22nd.
Marion will play host to its annual cross country invitational Thursday at Big M Field.

The Bluebirds’ girls’ team finished middle-of-the-pack in third out of six teams.
Freshman Mia Hiebert led the way with a 17th place finish. She was followed by Rosie Gaeddert in 20th, Madelyn Olson in 21st, and Moriah Guhr in 23rd.
