Marion FFA places 1st in ag mechanics

Marion High School’s FFA students placed first in a mechanical and technical systems career development contest March 27 at McPherson High School.

Participants had to perform welds in various positions, identify parts, complete problems with a sprayer, use a multimeter to analyze DC circuits, take a written test, and complete a team activity diagnosing and repairing a small gas engine.

In addition to the team placing first, Lane Smith was eighth and Luke Watkins was 10th individually. Jackson Bitonti, Gavin Regier, Owen White, and Landon Bryant also competed.
