Officers worked on reports, conducted follow-up investigations and traffic stops, provided vehicle identification number inspections, and completed maintenance on vehicles.

June 27: A theft was reported. A harassment complaint was filed. An officer met with a citizen regarding a house watch. A possible abuse was reported.

June 28: A bicycle was reported stolen. A business door was found unlocked. Criminal damage to property was investigated.

June 29: Officers conducted firearms qualifications and responded to a fight and a fireworks complaint. Criminal damage to property was reported. An attempt was made to serve an arrest warrant. Assistance was provided at Marion County Jail.

June 30: Officers responded to a non-injury accident. A suspicious person was checked in the 100 block of East Main Street. Criminal damage was reported. A business was found unlocked. A dog was picked up for running at large. A domestic dispute was investigated. A barking dog was reported.

July 1: Officers conducted firearms training. Fireworks were reported in Central Park. Unlocked business doors were discovered.

July 2: An animal complaint was reported. A driving complaint was checked.

July 3: A motorist received assistance. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with a non-injury accident. A fireworks complaint was checked.

July 4: Fireworks complaints were checked. Assistance was provided with a power failure.

July 5: Fireworks complaints were checked. Officers checked a local business concern. A sick cat was reported. A possible fight was checked.

July 6: Officers responded to a dog running at large. A forgery was reported. A 911 hang up was checked. Juveniles reportedly were throwing rocks at a train. An attempt was made to serve an arrest warrant.

July 7: Officers met with the county attorney regarding cases and attended court hearings. A motorist received assistance. A welfare check was provided. A dog was picked up for running at large. Several business doors were discovered unlocked.

Thursday: Officers responded to a possible injury accident. Criminal damage was reported. A vehicle was reported stolen. An out-of-control child was checked. A dog, running at large, was reported. An activated business alarm was checked. An business door was discovered open. A possible intruder at a residence was checked.

Friday: Fire marshals received assistance with follow-up interviews. Officers responded to an attempted home burglary and a possible fight. A barking dog was reported.

Saturday: Property was returned to its owner. A dog was reported running at large. Someone reportedly pumped gas in a vehicle at a local retail store and drove away without paying for it. A domestic dispute was reported. A barking dog complaint was checked.

Officers issued 31 warnings and six notices to appear and made one arrest.
