Marion police

April 1: Officers assisted with a possible domestic disturbance. Officers responded to a verbal disturbance report; person said he had his drug money stolen. A subject was arrested for having a suspended license following a traffic stop.

April 2: Officers found an unsecured door and light on in a vacant residence. Officers found the main entrance to Marion Elementary school open; the building was cleared with canine officer Ana.

April 4: Officers took a report of harassment by telephone. Officers responded to a verbal disturbance.

April 5: A sexual battery was reported. Officers made two follow up calls on a juvenile rape case.

April 6: Officers found an open door at 520 North Cedar Street. A report of a missing child was filed; the child returned home shortly thereafter. Officers investigated an unauthorized fire.

April 7: Officers conducted follow-ups on a sexual battery and theft case.

April 11: Officers assisted a homeless female by finding her a place to stay for the night.

April 12: Officers responded to debris purposefully left in the roadway. Officers responded to a report of a go-cart in the street causing a traffic hazard; officers spoke with the individual involved. Officers responded to a missing person report for an elderly male with dementia; the elderly male was found and taken by Marion Emergency Medical Services.

April 13: Officers responded to a dispute between neighbors. Officers assisted with a domestic disturbance.

April 14: Officers responded to a possible burglary in process and found that everything was OK. Officers responded to a possible suicide attempt; the victim was taken to St. Luke and later to a Wichita area hospital. Officers arrested a male subject for outstanding warrants. Officers arrested a female subject for domestic battery.

Cases over two weeks: 3 batteries, 3 assaults, 3 disorderly conducts, two criminal damage, 3 criminal threat, two sexual assault, and 7 arrests.
