Officers worked on reports, conducted follow-up investigations, vehicle identification number inspections, and traffic stops,

Oct. 4: Emergency medical services personnel received assistance with a call. A death notification was delivered.

Oct. 5: A welfare check was provided. School zones were patrolled. Assistance was provided to EMS with two calls. An open business door was located and secured.

Oct. 6: School zones were patrolled. A stranded motorist received assistance. Criminal trespass was reported. Officers responded to a fight.

Oct. 7: Radar was run on Eisenhower Drive. School zones were patrolled. EMS received assistance with calls. A drug awareness program was presented at Marion Elementary School. A harassment report was filed.

Oct. 8: School zones were patrolled. A stranded motorist received assistance.

Oct. 9: School zones were patrolled. A walk-through was conducted at Marion High School.

Oct. 10: Response was given to a dog running at-large. A reckless driving complaint was checked. A concerned citizen met with an officer. Marion County Sheriff’s Department received assistance with an accident.

Oct. 11: A business was checked for an owner. A concerned business owner met with an officer.

Oct. 12: School zones were patrolled. A citizen met with an officer regarding a civil matter. Lost property was returned. A concerned parent and a concerned business owner met with officers. Response was given to a 911 hang-up. Radar was run on Main Street and Eisenhower Drive. Response to a domestic dispute resulted in an arrest.

Oct. 13: School zones were patrolled. Officers met with a concerned citizen. A suspicious person was reported.

Oct. 14: School zones were patrolled. Officers met with Marion County Attorney regarding cases. A civil standby was conducted. An officer met with a concerned citizen.

Thursday: School zones were patrolled. Junk vehicle complaints were reviewed. A theft was reported. Response to a criminal trespass complaint resulted in an arrest.

Friday: EMS received assistance with a call. Response was given to a dog running at-large. Officers attended training. A traffic complaint was checked. A possible fight was reported. Officers investigated a hit-and-run accident.

Saturday: A report of a suspicious person resulted in an arrest. Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department in locating a vehicle. A parking complaint was checked. A civil standby was provided.
