Marlyss M. Brunner

Marlyss M. Brunner, 91, formerly of Ramona, died Thursday at Gardner. She was born Oct. 29, 1920, in rural Hillsboro to Fred W. and Adeline (Bessel) Unruh.

She was a homemaker and farm wife, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ramona.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane Hogan of Gardner; a son, Charles Ryan of Overland Park; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Ray Ryan. She married David J. Brunner on Sept. 20, 1946, in Wichita. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Ryan; three brothers, Fred J. Unruh, Morris Unruh, and Raymond Unruh; and six sisters, Adeline Meier, Selma Enns, Viola Pestinger, Pauline Meyer, Delores Schwartz, and Edna Stubby.

Her funeral was Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating. A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
