Hillsboro resident Mary Loewen, 91, died May 5 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.
Services were Monday at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, rural Hillsboro.
She was born Oct. 24, 1923, to Martin A. and Helena (Epp) Kroeker in Schoenau, Russia. She married Waldo J. Loewen on June 9, 1946, at Marion, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
Survivors include: sons, James Loewen of Hillsboro, Harold Loewen of Carpenter, South Dakota, and Doug Loewen of Hillsboro; daughters, Elaine Goodwin of Aurora, Colorado, Helen Bumpus of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Christine Smith of Florence, and Darlene Rappazzo of Gilmer, Texas; brothers, Werner Kroeker of San Jose, California and Orlando Kroeker of Shawnee; sister, Elvira Plett of Hillsboro; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
