Memorial Day services announced

Memorial Day services are planned at cemeteries in the area.

Mount Calvary, Florence, will have an invocation and address at 9:30 a.m. with Father Hien Nguyen of Holy Family Parish presiding.

At 10 a.m., services will be held at Marion Cemetery. The Reverend Joshua Wesner of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Marion will deliver a short address followed by prayer. Marion Kiwanis Club will host a hospitality center at Marion Elementary School following the program.

Services at Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Peabody also will begin at 10 a.m. with an invocation by Pastor David Ragland.

At 10:30 a.m., a service is planned at Memorial Park, Hillsboro, with Bob Brookens, state representative of District 70, providing an address.

Hillcrest Cemetery at Florence will have a program at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bethann Black of Florence United Methodist Church presiding.

Other area services on Monday include Diamond Springs Cemetery at 8:30 a.m., Wilsey Cemetery at 9 a.m., Delavan Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., Lost Springs Cemetery and Mitchell Cemetery at 10 a.m., Mission Valley Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., Lincolnville Cemetery, Lewis Cemetery, and Methodist Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., and Hebron Lutheran Church at 11 a.m.
