Ground was broken for the Christian church edifice Saturday afternoon. The building will be erected on the property known as the Powers property at the head of the Elm street hill—a beautiful location.

Rev. Livingstone, pastor of the church, presided and told of the development of the undertaking. Mrs. Louisa Wheeler, the only living charter member, who was able to be there, broke the ground for the new building. Mrs. Davis, the other charter member, was detained by sickness.

Koehe and Son have opened a tire repair shop in the building second door west of the Auditorium. They will do all kinds of tire repairing, tube patching, casing rebuilding, etc. and provide a line of auto and tire accessories.

BOX SOCIAL—Program and box social will be given at Sunnyside District. 95, Friday night, Dec. 5. Everybody come. —Grace Wasem, Teacher.

The garage building next door north of the Record office has been purchased by Mr. Fred Propp and Mr. Chas. Curtis and they will convert it into a model sales and show room for the Buick and Hudson cars.
