Extensive interior improvements are underway at the Elgin Hotel. The whole house is being repapered and repainted by Warner and Sklenar.
McCullough filling station has a new truck with Bert Powell in charge. They also have a tank station now completed on the Santa Fe south of the depot,
The Marion band is assured for the season of 1920. Harry Rogers circulated a subscription paper among the citizens last week and nearly one thousand dollars was pledged to maintain the Band during the months of May and October inclusive. Ross Sheets is to be the director.
Jacob Batt sold an Essex touring car to Frank Ptacek last week.
Baseball interests are developing splendidly. At a meeting of the fans, S.L. Brose was chosen baseball director for the season. The plan is to have a twilight league of local teams and from these teams develop a team for inter-city games. First game will be about May 3rd, it is hoped.
Zach and Al Ford are driving a handsome new sport model Paige purchased last week.
