Marion’s greatest need today is water. City officials are diligently seeking a solution. Citizens can do nothing more worthwhile now than to bend every effort to the securing of an adequate supply of good water for domestic and general purposes. Let’s not stop until it is found.

The services for the presentation of the Marion County Honor Roll to all service men will be held on the Court House lawn Sunday at 1:15 p.m.

Geo. B. Rankin is breaking ground for a new residence just north of the one he recently sold on south Cedar Street.

The Aulne Farm, Home and School Festival will be held October 15th. There will be a basket dinner. A school program will be given by the eight districts surrounding Aulne and children from that territory will have their farm products on exhibition. In the afternoon there will be races, ball game, etc. It will be held at the school house.

John Powell, Harry Rogers, Roddy and Joe Swan were in Hutchinson Tuesday attending the state convention of city firemen.

Drs. Smith and Goodsheller installed, last week, a large, modern x-ray machine, making the equipment of their office very complete.
