This issue recognizes the newspaper’s advertisers and tells who they are, where they are, and what they are doing.

John Auman does all kinds of blacksmithing, and does it well. Shop on Main street, between Third and Fourth.

Robt. Baker deals in coal and also runs a dray. Bob is a clever gentleman and deals always on the square.

A.D. Billings, proprietor of the old reliable furniture store, can be found with a full stock at the old stand on Main street. He is one of our oldest settlers, and is a worthy man.

Frank Bower, land and tax paying agent, is one of our most reliable men.

C.F. Bowron is building up a good grocery trade on the corner of Main and Third streets.

J. Brickley does a big business in the hardware line. Place of business at the old original hardware stand, Main street, between Second and Third.

R. Calhoun is a boss boot and shoe maker, and a number one good citizen besides. Mr. Calhoun came here about two years ago and has built a good residence, a shop on Main street, and is settled down, we hope for a long, prosperous life.

For ten years, the Everything store has been presided over at the old stand by J.J. Costello, the only merchant now in business here who has been here from the time the town was started. And Jack is as genial as ever. May he live long and prosper.

E.N. Eby holds the fort as leading saddle and harness maker. Eby is one of the “first settlers” and he is thoroughly posted as to the needs of the country in his line, and being a reliable man, and enjoying a large acquaintance, no wonder he does well.
