Marion County elected officials Treasurer Jeanine Bateman, Sheriff Rob Craft, Clerk Carol Maggard, and Commissioners Randy Dallke and Dan Holub were sworn in office Monday by Chief Judge Michael Powers.
Andy Methvin, 1998 graduate of Marion High School and current Colorado resident, is featured in an article entitled “Catching up with…” that gives his answers to questions about his life since graduation and what he enjoyed most about his days in Marion County.
Outstanding employee of the quarter at St. Luke Hospital and Living Center and Marion County Home Care is Mary Raleigh, a 12-year employee whose main duties are working in the Living Center.
An eight-year veteran official, Phil Nusser, experienced a heart attack Friday night while officiating a girls basketball game in Ellinwood between the host team and Marion. His life was saved when game attendees Janet Zeiner of Marion and a local nurse administered CPR until an automatic external defibrillator was brought from the school’s nearby swimming pool.
Bev Reid has been hired as chief financial officer of St. Luke Hospital and Living Center. Jeremy Armstrong, chief executive officer, made the announcement Friday.
