Keith Collett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Collett of rural Marion, will play the part of Figaro in Mozart’s classic comic opera, “The Marriage of Figaro,” this weekend at Kansas State University, Manhattan.

The life history of Clive “Butch” Jarvis is featured in this week’s “Personality Profile” by special feature writer Ruth Meyer.

Serving as pages for Senator John Crofoot in Topeka April 8 were Theresa Kroupa and Beth Regier. Kelly Blackman and Nathan Smith served as pages for Bill Novak in the Kansas House of Representatives.

Richard W. Clasen, publisher of the Eureka Herald, has been selected as speaker for the 84th annual Florence High School alumni banquet to be held May 24 at the Florence gymnasium.

Area alumni of the University of Kansas will honor outstanding high school seniors who have high academic standings at a banquet April 23 in McPherson.

Students recognized must be in the upper 10 percent of their class.

Invited Marion High School students are Debbie Hett, Theresa Kroupa, Brett Pippin, Beth Regier, and Becky Vinduska.
