Marion National Bank, chartered in 1905, will celebrate its 75th anniversary Sunday with an open house and grand opening of their expanded facility.

Floyd Siebert, retired rancher-farmer, is the subject of this week’s Personality Profile. When asked what he did for a hobby, his quick reply, given with a broad smile, was “Dancing.”

Two young fishermen caught more than their hooks could hold Sunday when they wandered near a bridge south of Canada and discovered nearly $3,000 worth of audio-visual equipment hidden under the bridge. The equipment is believed to have been stolen from Tabor College either April 19 or 20.

The Broadway musical “Bye, Bye, Birdie” will be presented by the Marion High School vocal music department May 12. Main characters will be played by Greg Boyle, Brian Bowers, Linda Schaffer, and Julie Hett.
