Jim Lehrer, anchorman of the nightly news on public television’s “MacNeil/Lehrer Report,” will be the on-air host of KPTS’ production of “The Messiah” at Lindsborg on Easter. A resident of Marion during his junior high years, he hopes to find time to visit his former hometown.

Jan Nuss, Leslie Burkholder, and Joan Hiebert, Marion High School Queen of Court candidates, are pictured as they await the announcement of who will reign over Friday’s game between Marion and Herington high schools. A dance Saturday night will highlight MHS basketball homecoming festivities.
